About Salina Wines
We are a small, but passionate, wine import company, with a focus on wine culture marketing. We mainly represent Italian producers and manufacturers. Our company is young, founded in 2022, but in our portfolio we have 35 years of experience and cooperation with several well-known Italian producers of quality wines in the HoReCa environment from previous businesses. We are continuously looking for new partners from Italy and other wine countries.
In our wine selection, we try to find interesting wines, also from smaller producers, from different wine regions. We want to offer our customers wines that, in our opinion, are worth exploring and which have a good price-quality ratio. Italian wine production is spread to all regions across Italy and each region is unique in some way. There are many types of wines, but to facilitate their choosing, the wines are characterized by terms established in the world wine industry. Studying and getting to know Italian wines alone is a big expedition, though very interesting, with no end.
In the vines standing in beautiful rows on the sun-soaked hills of Italy, many kinds of grapes grow and ripen in the interaction of nature and man. The unique geographical location of Italy, the geology of the different regions, the landforms, high mountains, hills, volcanoes and the seas that surround a large part of the Italian peninsula allow for many different grapes to flourish and for different types of wine to be made. Winemaking contains a large part of traditions, cultural history and winemaking skills. Winemaking is also a legacy that continues from one generation to the next (we don’t see the effects of climate change yet).
You are welcome to get to know the wines of Salina wines, where every bottle is a journey to the terroir and traditions blended with modern approach, and where every glass is a symphony of the senses!

In our name, Salina refers to an island north of Sicily, which together with 7 other islands form the Aeolian group of islands. The islands are of volcanic origin, but e.g. Salina is formed from extinct volcanoes. Aeolian islands have their own wine production.
In the legend of Odysseus, the winds brought Odysseus to the Aeolian Islands while the sea monsters Skylla and Kharybdis stalked sailors in the Strait of Messina.
